Jul. 28th, 2012 05:48 pmIt starts off as a fairly average day.
Olivia comes in to the office. She catches up on paperwork. She gets called about a potential fringe event. She and the rest of her team suit up and head out. Business as usual.
Then she's told it's in the sewers. She's starting to regret this day already.
At first it doesn't seem like there's much of anything. Sewers are usually known for being dank and disgusting, so that isn't really anything new, and she doesn't spend enough time in them to notice if there's an increase in that. She's mostly just trying not to gag on the smell. If there's nothing down here and she's going to be smelling like sewer for the rest of the night, she's going to get a little pissed off.
She makes it another quarter of a mile before she hears footsteps coming her way. It takes her all of a moment to check with her team and see if anyone else is in her quadrant, and when that answer is no, she's immediately put on edge. She pulls her gun, gets as close to the wall as she can, before inching her way to the junction of the tunnels. The footsteps keep coming faster, and then start to slow.
Once they stop, she takes a breath, before turning around the corner, weapon pointed in the direction of the sound.
"Fringe Division, and you better have a damn good reason for being down here."
